How to choose dramatic makeup that doesn't look trashy?

I'm going to an event where I want to have a very dramatic look. I'm wearing a tight red-and-black corset laced with a black ribbon and a skirt composed of knee-length black netting, as well as a red and black half-mask. I want makeup that will enhance the clothing (I'm thinking along the lines of bright red lips) but don't want to ruin it by being overly flashy.How to choose dramatic makeup that doesn't look trashy?
If your doing bright red lips, try to keep the attention on that instead of the rest of your face. Try doing a subtle neutral eye and blush, put all your drama to the lips. This way you avoid being overly painted.How to choose dramatic makeup that doesn't look trashy?
A family friend of mine is a Mary Kay representative and she was VERY helpful in that area. I went to see her for my Junior prom a year ago and she KNEW her stuff.





I'd recommend getting the opinion of someone like that, or a cosmetologist or something along those lines. This Mary Kay rep had worksheets and samples all ready to show you different ways of putting on makeup to achieve different effects.

that sounds really fun. one thing to do is play up what you naturally have. eyeliner is great if you want to take the pencil over the top (ONLY) of your eye and then have it curl out past your eye. also try blush, birght red, in one thick line diagonally across your cheekbones. this will really bring out your bone structure and will be eye catching. the red lips are a great idea. have fun!
Wear a bright red lipstick, but since that's very bright, don't overdue your eyes. If you choose to wear the lipstick, then wear a VERY subtle black eye liner, and some shimmery eyeshadow. Good Luck!
OK wear the read lips but dnt put too much on also take a light brown and shade the eyes make everyone look at you lips because i bet they will not c ur eyes a lot! a little blush and that should do it! good luck!
if you are going to do red lips, don't use lip liner.
