How to best apply makeup to spots?

Is it good to put makeup when you have pimples?if so how do you do it well? How to best apply makeup to spots?
i would smear it on thick........ but then again i'm a guy......How to best apply makeup to spots?
It's not really good to put makeup on pimples, b/c it clogs them up. They need to breath, and touching them or putting anything on your face(besides cleanser) can put dirt in them and cause them to not go away, clogging them. I know it sucks when you have one, you don't want to go out in public. It's ok to use makeup, but if you can go w/out than do so. What you should do is wash your face then put some acne treatment on it (with benzol peroxide) then some lotion. Try not to use foundation, you don't really need it anyway. What I do is put concealer where I need it on my face and on pimples, then use a matte powder to set everything. Don't use your fingers to apply concealer to a pimple, try a sponge-though those don't cover them as well as a brush. Go to walgreens or walmart. In the makeup aisle, there should be an area with a whole buncha makeup brushes. I use one that's skinny and flat, sometimes the really tiny brush works good. good luck
The standard advice in all the women's magazines is to lightly dab concealer on the spots before you apply foundation. In practice, I've always found that I wiped the concealer off as I applied the foundation! So if you want to try covering it up, put the concealer on after the foundation, not before.

However do examine your face close to the mirror before going out. Sometimes, trying to hide the pimple just draws attention to it, because the make up doesn't blend properly over it and it makes it look worse. Bear in mind that the make-up advice in magazines is often given by people who do make-up for photo shoots, so it looks great from a distance but artifical when you get close, as people do in real life.

Be sure you buy a non-comedogenic foundation and concealer, so they won't clog your pores and make the spot worse.
No,

Buy Proactive they have the perfect stuff for acne they also sell make-up!

Good Luck!
use a good concealer 1st,then apply make-up.
cleansing your face at night is a very important step followed by a good moisurizer and when you do wear make up I have found that Estee Lauder has a very good makeup called camoflage makeup and they say that actors and actresses wear it to cover their flaws on their faces you can go by their counters and they will treat you to a facial
It's not good for your skin or acne. The only good thing you can do to help clear your acne up is to wash your face with a facial cleanser daily. However, it isn't necessarily BAD when you wear makeup over your pimples; just make sure you wash it off with that facial soap when you're done.

covering up acne is kind of hard because it's a hard bump, so when makes an appearance, at night before you go to bed, clean the area, pop it, then put some mint tooth paste on it, by morning the swelling will have gone down, as well as the redness, so it should be fairly easy to cover it up, however, if you wear foundation, get away from liquid, because of all the ingredients that they put in it will clog your skin, go for bare minerals! it won't clog your pores!!! call around to salons to find it! there are some who do sell it, it may be a bit expensive, but your skin is worth spending the extra mulah!!
nooooooo way it will block up your pores even more and get infected cause it needs air leave it alone and clean it to reduce bacteria
