Try a little bit of Vaseline on a tissue or a baby wipe. Make sure you get all the Vaseline off your eyelids though, you don't want to wake up in the morning with your eyes all sticky.
Any oil at all. BUT you don't need that much, only use a little or you'll be in the bathroom for a while trying to get it off.
Soap and water? Then get a towel or paper napkin or something and wipe it away?
I heard somewhere that Vaseline works also. Maybe try that.

scrub scrub scrub with water.
get moisturiser and put it on cotton wool or whatever you use, apply it on closed eyes though as it might sting!
