How do i get my makeup to stay on longer?
here the best tips from many sources to creating the longest lasting look..hope you enjoy!

# Always remember to moisturise your face before starting. Leave for ten minutes to soak into the skin. This will help hold the makeup in place when finished.

# Apply an even amount of liquid foundation on your face with your fingers, ensuring you blend well around the hair line. Also ensure that you smooth the make-up down onto the neck for a more even look.

# Evenly apply the loose translucent powder with a pad (usually provided). This will help soak in any moisture that may cause the make-up to rub off.

# Use the cream concealer to cover up the blemishes on your face like spots, rashes, scars etc. smooth on with your fingers. For dark under-eye circles and bags use a liquid concealer. apply it only to the inside area near the nose and spread out towards the edge of the eye. this will ensure you aren't left with white rings around your eyes. dab on more translucent powder over the top of the concealer this will help this sit for longer also.

# for eye make up to last you will have to wear a cream eye-shadow this is a plain white one you can always apply powdered shadow on top but ensure the cream is still wet as this will help the powered eye-shadow last longer.

# The eye liner will have to be liquid for it to be longer lasting, as long as you leave it to dry properly it can last from morning to night without the need of touch up. although sometimes the bottom eye-lids may need a top-up occasionally as they are more moist than the top eye-lids.

Primer is a great start, but before you even go there, do you use a face lotion? If so, let it sit for at least 3 minutes before you apply any makeup, primer included, otherwise everything will slide right off your face.

There are so many different primers. They are sort of like a lotion that will help to adhere the makeup. You can get them at drugstores and department stores alike. Some of the best are Smashbox and MAC, and I recently just tried one by NP from Target that is great. It is illuminizing which makes your skin look so healthy and fresh. Revlon has one for a lesser price if you're on a budget. All you do is apply it before any other makeup and it helps to hold it in place all day.

To make your eyeshadow set, MAC has a really great product called Paint Pot which are a cream shadow you put on the lid before powder. Those make a great base. For an eyeliner, Smashbox has a waterproof one called Jetset which lasts all day. At the drugstore there is a similar one by NYC (I think) that comes with a little tube of waterproofing gel which does the same thing on a budget as well.

Also, I read above to use hairspray. This can be damaging to some skin. I would use a makeup setting spray such as Model in a Bottle instead (www.modelinabottle.com). It's actually made to be used on the face.

Dusting on powder to set your makeup will help it last longer and can be done throughout the day when needed. Just don't do it too often of you will get cakey. And only apply in the areas needed, everywhere is not necessary.

If you have oily skin, blotting papers can be used over makeup. They absorb oil but leave the makeup in place which helps it last throughout the day.

And for a freshen up you can always spray a little toner or water on your face to wake up your makeup.

Best of luck.
Put powder over your foundation and it will stay longer. Makeup companies make different types of foundation, some that stay for a long time and some that stay for a shorter time. Also make sure you clean and moisturize your skin before you put your foundation on. Use an eye base or foundation underneath your eyeshadow. There are many different types of makeup, shop around and see if you can use testers before you buy the product (but don't open new ones just to try, that's stealing!)
I have a couple of tips that might help you.

For your lips, put concealer on and then apply the shade. Concealer definitely helps the lip color last for a long time.

For your face, make sure you are using a good foundation. To hold your makeup in place and to keep it on, brush on a loose powder gently over your face.

Primer is the best thing. It is a gel cream that protects you from UV rays and includes anti-wrinkling, but its major purpose is to keep your makeup on longer. Put it on before applying foundation.

You can get any makeup item from Sephora, and some drug stores like CVS or Rite Aid carry makeup items as well.

Even though it may seem a bit weird, try spraying hairspray on your face. I dance so i have to wear makeup all the time, and that is what i do.
apply a foundation primer.

apply your foundation.

set your foundation with powder.

By using powder and a primer, your make up will last much longer
Make sure that you dont wash any part of your face, dont rub your eyes or any thing else and i know this may sound insane and discusting but if you spray your face with hairspray it stays on longer.
ok so you can always use avon its greate it stays upto 24hours thats what i use cause im kinda like you addicted to the makeup
Primer is just a canvas for your foundation you can get it from mac or other high end cosmetic lines
